Rebecca Murphy joined the financial services industry in 1980 while attending Cleveland Marshall Law School. Her career started when she joined forces with father, who started an agency back in 1956. While working full time, Rebecca not only received her J.D. degree, but passed the Bar and became a licensed attorney in 1982. She worked side by side with her father until his death in 2019. Although she has maintained her legal license, Rebecca’s focus has always been on providing her clients with financial plans, insurance, and investments.
Rebecca has earned numerous professional designations from the American College during her career, including Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC). In 2007, Rebecca earned her Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA) and currently focuses on helping individuals through their divorce process. This career path has enabled Rebecca to create lifelong relationships with her clients and close ties with organizations like the Alternative Dispute Resolution Community, specifically the Cleveland Academy of Collaborative Professionals.
Today, the majority of Rebecca’s non-divorce financial planning business is managed jointly with Jeff Zemito. Together they work to guide clients towards a brighter financial future, providing them with a holistic team to tackle all financial topics.
Outside the office, Rebecca enjoys visiting her children and spending time with her three grandchildren.
